    Somehow ur strobe angle and coverage shifted, hence the backscatter on the left. Nice details. Try a frontal shot instead of a top shot. Shift the camera and try another shot. They usually stick around.Nice texture on the subject.

    about back scatter you can erase it with brush tool in Photoshop :)
