Imut ya mukanya.. sayang terlalu banyak bagian yang gelap jadinya (apa sih istilah kerennya..)

  2. Indra Swari says:

mia, istilah yg lu cari under exposed?

cuma sayang IMHO, pengaturan arah flashnya kurang tepat…
kalo pake 2 flash, arah bener…wah ini foto bakalan JOSSS abis….

  5. Monica Hutadjulu says:

gw juga lebih suka pose nyang ini
tapi kayaknya kurang terang ya.. (gw juga gak tau istilahnya)
    jadi kayak remang2 gituuuuuh

Hmmm… I’m not going to get involved in the whole debate, just add my two cents… I think this is very artistic. It speaks to me, and that’s what people say art does. While we can debate the best angle, I like the feeling this photo evokes, the elusive mandarinfish coming out of the darkness to momentarily surprise us. I think it is effective on many levels, most of all as a piece of unique art… IMHO lho…

But the real point should be that art is subjective, so while we can give a point-system to technical ability, is it really possible to judge art? Hmmm… Now I’m going off on a tangent…

Anyway… this one I would frame and put on my wall Indra- Well done!

  9. Indra Swari says:

    Wow… I’m very honoured Thea… Thanks…
The mandarin fish did actually swim towards me and i was very lucky to get a focus on it as it was dark already.
Maybe he came to me, wanting his picture taken so that it can decorate ur wall :)

  10. Erwin Kodiat says:

Thea, I could ask Indra to give me the original file and have it printed in my print shop :) How big do you want it? :)

  11. Dorothea Nelson says:

Hahahaha… as those who frequently visit the hut are well aware, we have little to no wall space on which to hang photos… so, alas, I have to refuse your generous offer Win… actually what I meant was that Indra should print it and hang it on her wall (Assuming she has more walls than me hahaha)…

  12. Hengky Dotulong says:

    Win, dagang ajah lu …
Baru pulang 16 hari udah menipis, ya?
    Ha.. ha..

  13. Imran Ahmad says:

Wrong strobe placement… and lacks lighting

  14. Indra Swari says:

Thanks, Imran. Got only one strobe and have darkened the picture a bit actually to create the mood. Still experimenting with lots of things :)
I’ve seen some of ur pics in the forum, definitly need to learn a lot more from u.

  15. Imran Ahmad says:

i can see that.. nice try.. but remember shoot with edit in mind so you minimize the post editing effect or work later..try different settings and strobe positioning.

  16. Imran Ahmad says:

anyways, i used to use, just 1 YS90 to shoot for macro with film camera. imagine that.. digital is easy cos u can afford to make mistake.. not with a velvia 50..
