   Thanks all, I have no idea whether its a spiderbug or crab, thus my comment in the next photo - which is the same fella closer still. I will try to look it up in the Ferrari (macro, not car) book and see if its there. Meanwhile any crabby experts out there?

   OK found it, the Ferrari book says its a spider crab, Xenocarcinus conicus. Try saying THAT after a bottle of Tequila…
