By looking at the EXIF data generated for this photo, it seems that you use widest position of your lens. That’s good that it will get you as close as possible to the object which will reduce backscatter and other disturbance that may reduce sharpness and clarity of your photo I suggest you use Aperture Priority or Manual instead of Auto Exposure to have more control. Try F/7.1 or F/8.0 as the starting point with the least powerful flash. Again, keep as steady as possible to have a sharp and clear photo. Generally for using built in flash in macro photography, you can use AWB (Auto White Balance) or Flash WB if any (I don’t remember if A640 has one or not)

lighting’s good but picture’s not sharp either not in focus or shaking hands

Shame not too clear,nice color,was it in macro mode,maybe little movement,not bad for 2nd photo,my 2nd photo was not that good
