Change the white balance setting or do after-process
see this one (http://www.nudipixel.net/photo/00004031/), and asking your permission to steal this photo to be published in Nudi Pixel
No need to buy a strobe to overcome this

what do you mean by yellow casted win? A bit yellow in colour? If so….I can’t really see it though… mmmhh…..
February 22nd, 2008 at 10:21:56
how come?
tell me how u did it, win..
i tried to change the level of brightness but the result looks strange
i think i used manual white balance menu setting
(or should i change it to underwater setting?)
and used my white fins, too! but i think it didn’t help much

La, compare photo above with this photo, you should be able to see the difference.
Mon,
And when you take a reference for custom WB, do as similar as possible to the real distance and angle as when you take the picture. Taking a reference from your fin might be too far compare to when you take this nudibranch photo.
Generally, you can start with Auto WB, if you bring a white slate, use it as a reference for custom WB. Your white fin might not that white anymore

Mon, if you use curve or level, pick the color you want to change. In this case, green and blue perhaps. I use Picnik to fix this one.

February 22nd, 2008 at 11:58:35
yap have seen it..right after read your comment
But i love this better bcz the colour is warmer….(personal preference though..;) )
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:56:24
Yup, sometimes I also prefer a warmer color.
It s a matter of preference.
Unless, you want to use it as a “science” photo.
What d u think?
Anyway…… I will take a slate from now on.

Hm, warmer color is different with incorrect color
You can have a warm tonal color but still maintaining color correctness.
For the rule of thumb, white must be white or at least 18% gray

ooooooooooh…..like that hah? (with broken singlish accent :p )
February 22nd, 2008 at 15:24:51
Win.. how about ‘photo clinic for dummies’ (like me)
so we can share and do the experiment!
We can make it in Tulamben and no need to invite famous expert
I think KSDC has a lot of experts
