Giant Mantis

This guy was huge, measuring around 16 inches long. I kept a safe distance away when I photographed him. Knowing full well that if he decided to strike my camera housing would crack and flood my camera. This was the first and last time, I’ve seen a giant mantis out of his hole.

    How did you make it go up like that?
    Did you do a striptease for him?

    When I notice him from a distance, I didn’t know what he was. When I close to his hole, I used my flash light to dazzle him. I waited several minutes until he slowly rose from his hole. I was really frighten and yet excited to see something so dangerous and magnificent.
