Yes erwin, I am still thinking which strobe will make me happy

The options is, Housed SB800 but many people said big n heavy,
your YS110. Both of them is make my system ‘belang bentong’
I prefer Ikelite DS125, but…now discontinue and quite expensive.

I can get pretty good deal on YS110, I think 550, have to double check, I ordered 2 of them, they are going to be discontinued soon with YS110a or something, a lot more expensive, just have fiber optics added. I just bought YS250 and think they are good, replacing my old ys300’s time for new ones. Just not sure when next trip, but soon I hope.

Yeah Carl,
YS110 different with my DS-125,
S&S is 5500K, Ike is 4800K (warmer)…
The only thing I like from DS125 is very
fast recycle time (1s)
But the thing that I dont like from DS125
is, only 4 step power adjustment and…
EXPENSIVEEEE

Is that your 1 second timing or Ikelites? These guys don’t use the same ruler, nothing they tell you is the truth, you have to compare yourself. I never had an issue with recycling time when in actual use. Ikelite used to make really good stuff, back when it was DS150, heavy but work horse. Now half their stuff breaks. New and old. Quality is in the toilet when it comes to strobes. I hate there proprietary batteries. And they are always bigger and heavier, color you can always deal with. IMHO
